9-year-old Iris tells us her favourite Marrakech hangouts and experiences.
“My favourite place to go in Marrakesh is ‘Besties Bakery’ in Gueliz. They have the best milkshakes and cakes, it is so pretty, everything is pink. After I had milkshake and cake, I went into the hammam downstairs. It was so relaxing, and my skin was really soft afterwards, the ladies gave me mint tea as well. My favourite thing to do is swimming. It was warm in October so I could swim a lot. I went to the souk and a man showed me a traditional type of makeup that is made from petals and pomegranate, mum let me buy one and I bought a little golden camel with jewels on it for my uncle. The food I enjoyed the most was chicken tagine.”
